Nevermind, good job. At moment, not exist an official component to customize Plymouth (I create only for KDE), but your work is a very good, especially to Kubuntu, congratulations! :)

I'd like to use the Caledonia KDM on my Ubuntu 10.10, do I necessarily need to get Kubuntu for that? :o

Yes. Caledonia is only for KDE (at least this collection, the official). You can use this in every KDE-distro. ;)

But I managed to get KDM as my login manager, the theme didn't work though. :/

I don't know the dependencies of a *buntu distro. Maybe, is problem of this.

Also, KDE has its own way of handling these issues.
